When 911 happened in 2001 I received some inspiration to combine a Muslim prayer for peace upon the Prophet Muhammad and his family that is sung/recited at our Ismaili funerals with the famous Dona Nobis Pacem choral round. The Muslim prayer is also a prayer recited on various occasions in everyday life and rituals of Muslims and is a prayer calling for peace in one's soul, heart and mind as well, as I've experienced it. This pieces two cultures perceived as divisive into harmonious musical conversation held in an intention for peace, calm, and ease.
