Building Musical Bridges in an Interconnected World

Connecting people, cultures, and lived experiences through vocal arts and composition.

Building connections in a divided world through the healing power of music.

Hussein is passionate singing as a medium for cultural dialogue, team building, and connecting with the human spirit. He brings his creative spark to people of all ages in diverse communities, schools, and businesses to come together through collaboration, artistry and joy.

Hussein finds inspiration in his pluralistic lived experience as a South Asian Ismaili Muslim, born in Kenya, and raised in Canada. Singing with others allowed Hussein to transform the negative impacts of racism into positive creative energy.

Hussein works as a singer, conductor, composer, music educator, artistic curator, and public speaker.

Hussein offers interactive workshops, teacher professional development, curatorial consultation, choral master classes and organizational retreats. His goal is to help everyone regardless of their musical experience to access the power of singing and unleash their creative spirit.

I love to find creative ways to foster openness, curiosity, spiritual ambiance, and community connection. My life experiences have taught me how the voice can be used as an instrument for awakening unity across our differences. Composing vocal music allows me to revitalize and express my own traditions in an integrative way. I have learned how having open spaces for collaboration can level the playing field and energize fruitful cultural conversation.
